SINC Safety Policy

SINC Underground Services is committed to a strong safety program that endeavors to protect our staff, our property and the public from incidents.

Employees at all levels including management are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety initiatives.  Complete and active participation by everyone, every day in every job is necessary for the safety excellence SINC strives for.  Management will actively support the coordination of safety among all our employees on the job site and will also commit to work in the spirit of consultation and cooperation with its workers in achieving a safe and healthful work environment.

Management will support participation in the program by all employees and will provide proper equipment, training and procedures.  It is the employee’s responsibility to follow all procedures outlined, to work safely and whenever possible, and to improve safety measures.

Our focus and goal is to provide an injury and incident free workplace.  Through continuous safety and loss control efforts, we can accomplish this.

The safety information in this policy does not take precedence over the Occupational Health and Safety Act.  All employees should be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

COR Certification

We are proud to be COR Certified in Alberta and Saskatchewan. At SINC, we earned our Certificate of Recognition by having our health and safety management program evaluated by certified auditors. Our COR certification means our health and safety program meets the standards established by Occupation Health and Safety (OHS).

At SINC, we use SiteDocs paperless safety for daily hazard reporting, inspections and forms management. Client representatives can sign and receive a copy of field level hazard assessments from the field from a field workers’ mobile device.
